My experiences with thesis this year have given me a better insight into my own abilities as a future engineer. In the past year, I have been faced with many challenges of which I was able to overcome using the knowledge gained through the A.E. program. I believe that the I have been presented with a valuable experience which closely resembles the real life work I will be entering in the near future.

This spring semester I was able to successfully take on the task of teaching myself prestressed concrete design. This was a challenging semester from the start, and in the beginning I was feeling nervous about how I would ever teach myself a graduate level course. It was through hard work and confidence in my own abilities, that I was able to overcome this challenge. This semester proved to be beneficial in solidifying my self-confidence as a future design engineer. After all this I believe I will continue to overcome any hardships in my career.
